Hello Polarity Therapy!

No Joke! Polarity therapy is in it’s infancy!

Even though it’s based on traditions that are thousands of years old, including Ayerveda, Surat Shabd Yoga and western traditions dating back to the earliest recorded medical history, putting it all together with today’s knowledge of quantum physics and creating a true holistic approach to care is unique and relatively new. It’s particularly powerful because it includes energy based diet, exercise, thought and bodywork that is based on chiropractic, osteopathy, naturopathy and craniosacral modalities.

People who understand and use polarity therapy understand something that the rest of the world still is learning: It gets results. Now with the BCPP (Board Certified Polarity Practitioner) status, insurance companies and self-insured companies are offering polarity therapy with incredible results. These companies track their Return on Investment (ROI) very carefully and the results are positive. The information is proprietary to these companies but the fact that they are expanding their reach and looking for more polarity therapists pretty much sums up the results.

Part of what makes polarity therapy particularly well suited to our times is that the work can be received fully clothed. Besides making it more practical to perform the work in many settings like nursing homes, offices and other non-spa or clinic settings, it also is a more comfortable starting point for people who may have body image issues.

But the thing that really closes the deal for many people is that they can feel the results in their lives. Of course this only happens with people who really know what they are doing. As with any profession, getting certified doesn’t ensure that you are actually good. There are qualities of caring, attention and communications skills that also play a vital role in the experience that people have and the results you achieve.

As with all education, it’s important to remember that there is a wide range of ways that polarity is taught. This is desirable on one hand but it’s also very important to be careful about where you learn polarity. There are some people who truly understand it and there are others who think they understand but they either lack the educational skills or the real understanding to teach others. There are also approaches that focus more on particular areas such as the energetic food, exercise, thought or bodywork. Depending on your personal preference, you may find that one program appeals to your interests more than another, regardless of the quality of the school, program or people who teach it.

So if you want to be part of the exciting new movement of polarity practitioners who are introducing the world to this work, find the best program you can and join us in what is destined to be a very important health and wellness profession in the future.
